Monaco has announced that Wilfried Songo'o will be out for at least six weeks with a hamstring injury.

The midfielder, who joined the club in January, suffered the injury during training on Wednesday and is expected to miss the remainder of this season's Ligue 1 campaign as well as any potential Champions League or Europa League matches.

Songo'o's absence will be a significant blow to Monaco's attacking options, as he was one of their most creative players and a key part of their attack.

He scored two goals in his first three appearances for the club and had been looking forward to playing a big role in their title challenge this season.

However, the news comes just days after the club lost star striker Edinson Cavani to a knee injury, which means they will now have to rely heavily on their other forwards to fill the void left by Songo'o.

Despite the setback, Monaco will still hope to bounce back from their recent poor form and continue their strong run of results under new manager Bruno Génésio.

Injury updates like this can be difficult for teams to deal with, but Monaco will need to find ways to cope without Songo'o while also continuing to work hard on improving their squad depth and overall performance.
