Juventus' Paulo Dybala is currently in the midst of a tough time after he suffered a serious knee ligament injury on Wednesday night against Atalanta.
The 25-year-old forward has been one of the stars of Serie A this season, but his form has dipped recently and he's now facing criticism from some fans and teammates who believe he should be given more rest before returning to action.
Dybala himself acknowledged that he was struggling with his fitness levels and was looking to get back into the starting line-up as soon as possible.
"I'm really sorry to say it, but I'm going to have to sit out a few weeks," Dybala said. "I've got to get myself back in the team first."
Despite the setback, Dybala remains confident that he will recover quickly and return to full training as soon as possible.
"It's not easy, but I'll make sure I don't let my body go to waste," Dybala added. "I know I can come back stronger than ever."
As for Juventus, they have already started to look ahead to their next game against Napoli on Saturday. They need to find ways to keep Dybala healthy and focused during his recovery period.
"Hopefully we can take advantage of our best player back," manager Massimiliano Allegri said. "He's a big part of our team and we want him to be as good as he was last season."
